My aunt works in a restaurant in Midtown NY. One of her employees came to her and said “What do you want BO to give to you? She looked at him and just assumed he was making small talk. She answered that she just wanted the troops to be safe and come home soon. His response was that her request wasn’t legitimately for her and what did she really want. He then pulled a list out of his pocket, car, money, big screen tv. He had things crossed off and added to it.
She was dumbfounded and told him he’s an idiot if he thinks BO is going to give him anything but trouble.
These idiots believe. Maybe he is cult leader. I told her next time he mentions it to offer him some more kool aid.

Seriously, though, it’s really scary to know that there are so many dumb, dumb, dumb people out there. I read somewhere that there is a belief among some segments of the black population in a figure called “The One,” who will emerge and get back at people they feel have wronged them and give them all the things they think they deserve. I always thought this was on a more metaphysical or abstract plane, but apparently they really believe it literally, and the belief has rubbed off on some stupid whites as well.
