Reading about Blago, I can’t see where this guy would just up and walk away, unless it was lucrative for him to do so. They’re going to have to offer some substantial carrots before this guy is going to call it quits.
Stepping down in the heat of battle is contrary to this guy’s temperament. There going to have to carry him out of their on a shield. JMHO
Lets keep Blago out in the open where we can watch what is happening. Write him tonight, call his office in the morning and let Blago know we think he is innocent until proven guilty.
The voters have little to do with it. This is a Banana Republic - dirty politics, family-legacy politics as a cottage industry, pay-offs, contract-fixing, an infestation of "community organizers", funny business at the polls, and cross-party protectionism. We need to concurrently stick large hoses into Springfield and Chicago and give the state a good enema.

Thanks for the clarification. NO ONE I talk to (in Illinois) is shocked, surprised, or startled by Fitz' action or the extent of the dirt on Blago - we all know he's crooked.
Many of us are, however, furious at Fitz that he sat on this through the election cycle since a lot of this Blago stuff could have stuck to Barry on the run-up to the November election. Yes, Illinois IS a Banana Republic.
As far as the US Constitution, Barry and the Chicago crowd are eroding it to the point where I would not be surprised to see it on a toilet paper roll in the new White House, right next to the footbath, down the hall from the prayer room.
I am sure that Blago followed in the footsteps of Richard Nixon and recorded every single conversation he ever had as Governor.

IL Democrats, despite what they’re threatening, don’t want to go through the impeachment process where lots of dirty laundry will come to light. Blago has retained one of the top defense attorneys in the country.
And every day this drags on, the cesspool that is Chicago politics and where Obama got his start is on front pages.
Talk about irony - Blago gets arrested for trying to cut “a deal” for a Senate seat and then defense lawyers on tv recommend that he should try to cut “a deal” by naming names to get a lesser sentence. Is’nt America Great!
