McCain unsure if he'd support Palin for president Posted: 01:59 PM ET
Sen. John McCain says he may not necessary support Gov. Sarah Palin if she she runs in 2012
CNN) Sen. John McCain said Sunday he would not necessarily support his former running mate if she chose to run for president.
Speaking to ABC's "This Week," McCain was asked whether Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin could count on his support. "I can't say something like that. We've got some great other young governors. I think you're going to see the governors assume a greater leadership role in our Republican Party," he said, citing Governors Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota and Jon Huntsman of Utah.
McCain said he has "the greatest appreciation for Governor Palin and her family, and it was a great joy to know them. She invigorated our campaign" against Barack Obama for the presidency.
Pressed on why he can't promise support for the woman who, just months ago, he named as the second best person to lead the nation, McCain responded that "now we're in a whole election cycle. Have no doubt of my admiration and respect for her and my view of her viability, but at this stage, again
my corpse is still warm, you know?"

UNDERSTATEMENT she invigorated our campaign.

Senile dementia.
For all his years of experience, McCain isn’t that bright: he just allowed himself to be pwned by Stephie.
Juan’s off the deep end, though his lack of support for Palin is a POSITIVE sign to me.
that’s the truth.
Doesn’t he have a history of using women and then dumping them when they no longer suit his needs?
That’s right lets focus on McLame and not the 0.
Jerk. The only reason he got as close to O as he did was because of Palin.
Well, it’s not like he was all that supportive of her when she was his running mate.
Do what old soldiers do when they get too old. Go away and let others take the lead. You have had your day and your time is over.
People of AZ. Please replace McLame with J.D. Hayworth....
Nobody gives a S* anymore, John.
Let’s hope a REAL conservative runs against McPain in 2010 if Juan decides to run for AZ US Senate again. We can all contribute to that candidate!
Again John McCain, your proving to me why you lost. Sarah busts her ass for his campaign and he doesn’t even come out and support her. He saw the crowds coming to see her, he saw her rallies, she got more attention then he did and he just can’t stand it. He was using her from the start, he wanted to get easy votes, the Hillary voters, he was using her from the beginning and when he lost he throws her away like a piece of garbage. That is who John McCain is, a guy that cares about no one but HIMSELF
Ugh... I am so ashamed that I voted for this guy.
McCain and Powell should pal around.
Once again, McAmnesty searches for and FINDS ANOTHER way to STAB IN THE BACK those who worked like DOGS for him!!!
And why, you ask?
Well, to get back in the “good graces” of his “buddies” in the media, of course! Screw the Republican party! It is all about McAmnesty and his butt buddies in the media!
What a putz! You make me sorry I campaigned for you Mac!
McCain is an ungrateful b**tard. He’d have gotten many fewer votes were it not for Sarah. But I’m not surprised by this. When his sycophants and aides were trashing her through the post-election days, he said nothing to them.Mp<
I’m betting the SOB thinks he’s going to be the candidate again in 2012.
