ANCHORAGE, Dec. 13 -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's home church was badly damaged by arson, leading the governor to apologize Saturday if the fire was connected to "undeserved negative attention" from her campaign as the Republican vice presidential nominee.
Damage to the Wasilla Bible Church was estimated at $1 million, authorities said. No one was injured in the fire, which was set Friday night while a handful of people, including two children, were inside, according to James Steele, the Central Mat-Su fire chief.

Well, if this arson was in fact directed against Governor Palin, this is a really pathetic testament to the state of politics in this country when a former and potentially future candidate’s chruch is burned out of pure hatred.

Ah, that’s “Palin’s church”: sorry for the typo. Don’t blame the entire “pro-gay marriage” movement if this turns out to be related to Love Won Out conference: the responsible members of the “pro-gay marriage” movement are simply expressing their opinion. The ones who commit acts of violence and/or intimidation are making things bad for those who do not advocate such actions.
