You can search the internet and find this claim made hundreds of times. However, I guarantee you that you cannot find any objective evidence to support the claim.
My husband asked me earlier if it was a travel warning or ban. You’d think with a hijacking and Americans being accused by the hijackers of being CIA that it would have been a ban. You have personal experience of a warning in 82. Was there an initial ban downgraded to a warning? I don’t know. I only remember the hijacking. It lasted almost 2 weeks.
