The fourth paragraph is golden. Love the video game tie-in:makes a lot of sense.
Amazingly enough, the B-29 in 1944 had remotely operated machine gun turrets. B-17 and B-24 crews had exposed gunners or had their positions easily identified and were targeted by enemy fighters.
Similarly the exposed gunner atop the HumVee is targeted by the jihadis first.
