Just because you have lost your video doesn’t (or at least shouldn’t) mean that you can’t either lay down suppressing fire, or get guidance from someone acting as a spotter. Effectiveness may suffer, but it’s still an asset.
Yep, there are still the tracers, and “walking” your rounds into the target. That will always work.
I am quite sure that if they had to, they could also send up a live human gunner up to use the equipment manually if the CROWS system fails.
