Otherwise Woodstock is not meeting it community obligation to provide for our common defense.
No troops should have to die for the ungrateful.
you’re last line is a keeper. nufsed
Sad little pee spot in the snow that woodstock is...
Just amazing. Yes, good idea — let these anti-American, anti-defense slobbering leftists wallow in their own excrement. Let THEM defend themselves...
Words fail me. Should I ever hear of a disaster befalling this place, my ears will turn elsewhere.
This matches up with the Democratic policy of settling disputes with a game of “Rock, Paper, and Scissors.”
The owners of this company should contact other businesses in town that they and their employees do business with, and let them know the price tag of the city fathers fantasy world, if they pull up stakes.
Then, they should offer employees strong incentives to run for local office against said city fathers, with campaigns fully endowed and supported by the business. Those employees will be paid to campaign full-time for the next elections.
Then they should discuss the matter with their legal department, and entertain possible litigation that may be made against the city, beyond the cities ability to pay. Be sure to entice the lawyers with a lot of chum.
Finally, they should discuss limited partnerships with other defense contractors, to bring them to this town.
Only in the US. Even European countries get overbearing when you screw with what they perceive to be their best interests (e.g., the Froggies and Greenpeace).
We culture people like this like I cultured bacteria in biology classes. And now that I think of it, they are a lot like many bacteria. Parasites of a sort with no redeeming social value that make you sick.
They couldn’t exist without others to do their dirty work for them.
This thread should have a warning:
“This is NOT satire.!”
Just friggin unbelievable!
Do they have sheriffs or local police? Surely their weapons should not be allowed. The Woodstock police should carry bows and arrows and wear tin foil hats with peace symbols on them.
Lets see how long that works. After all Woodstock law and order forces should not import weaponry from other cities or states!
Good thing Upstate New York economy is booming so other companies will easily fill in the gaps...
>> a letter submitted to the Town Board by 14 local residents notes the company makes parts for helicopters, rocket launchers, tanks and armored personnel carriers.
LOL. 14 residents and the town is up in arms?? What about the rest of the townsolf? I’m guessing they number more than 14 and represent the true feelings of the population.

Sheep.
Woodstock can rot in hell with the artsy-fartsy, washed-up hippy crowd.
Woodstock, NY - World Headquarters for oganic shoelaces.
Liz Simonson is a member of the "Woodstock Progressives" and is endorsed by Maurice (Mo-Money) Hinchey.
Mo, as many of you know, is on the Executive Committee of the Democratic Socialists of America's Progressive Caucus of the U.S. House of Representatives.
*SIGH*
Failed hippies. They remain stupid.

“You live in freedom because rough men are willing to do violence on your behalf.”
Who said it?
“I’ll take 20th century pundits for 50 Alex”
We believe that the people of Woodstock can and should work together with local business people and the town government to create a local economy that is sustainable and ethical.
Note how this is condescendingly stated as if business people are some strange subculture. I suppose if you are a liberal parasite you have trouble understanding the productive. I worked for a school system for two years, and got this kind of treatment all the time. I was the subhuman who had to lower himself to dirtying his hands at labor.
I fault the company for not moving the jobs to a place where they are wanted.
