If documents some day prove Barack Obama is not eligible to be president under the U.S. Constitution, none of the 538 Electoral College members who vote him into office Monday will be able to claim ignorance.
That's after 3,653 citizens had enough concern over the allegations, they participated in a WND effort to deliver letters to every elector, urging them to investigate.

It should not be emcumbant upon me, or anyone else to disprove or prove 0bama's fitness for office, that is for zero to demonstrate. HE and HE alone has the responsibility to show that he qualifies under the Constitution. If this is taken up in the SCOTUS, zero must provide documentation, (presumably not a forged document form the internet) that he is a "natural born" citizen.
Before I was commissioned an officer in the Air Force, I had to provide certain documents, among them was a birth certificate to prove my age, citizenship etc. When I got my driver's license, I had to do the same thing. Are you saying that zero, because he is black, is exempt?
You cover the inherently ridiculous (the idea that a presidential candidate could somehow fail to qualify for the office, go through an especially brutal primary against a political family that would have definitely dug up that little tidbit if only it were true, and a general election against a senator who, the media tells us, ran “the dirtiest campaign in history”- really it should have been called “the most inept campaign in history”, and then get elected, without any of the opponents raising a rancor) with language that would otherwise have an air of common sense. I’m sorry, I’m not going to buy into the fluff. There is still no reason to doubt that Hawaii is Obama’s place of birth.

Okay, you want to know a secret? Obama hasn’t “spent a fortune to keep his Birth Certificate locked up”. He released the Birth Certificate way back during the campaign. You know that document that the Birthers keep lying about and calling a forgery? Apparently, no one who really knows what they’re talking about thinks it’s a forgery. Otherwise, Obama would have been brought up on charges. So, what we’re left with is either someone believes what is right in front of their eyes, or they believe some lunatic fantasy. I know what I believe.
I simply think that 0bama should provide proof that he is a natural born citizen and qualifies to be POTUS.
Maybe he’s only 34 years old. How do we know?
And maybe he’s only been in the country for 13 years and 364 days?
Everything is a maybe until he provides a birth certificate.
How credible will his oath be when everything it took to get him to the position of President is a lie? How do you defend a constitution that you have ignored and violated to get where you are? That is an oxy-moron.
That’s a simplistic view of what is required for citizenship. There are requirements to be natural born. There are some good summaries of those requirements, right here on FR even.

My refusal to by into the CertifiTruther nonsense has nothing to do with my opinion of the president-elect. I find him to be unqualified, ignorant, a dunce on economic issues, inept at speaking when no one puts words into his mouth. Far from coming from an affection for Obama, my opposition to CertifiTruther baloney stems from not wanting to give the guy anything he could use as political ammunition.
This issue is settled. He is a natural born citizen. He has submitted proof. It is called the certificate of live birth. Stating that doesn’t make me an Obamaniac, just as stating that he isn’t doesn’t automatically make one a defender of the constitution.
In actuality, my fervent outspokenness on this matter doesn’t make me a DUer. I can’t stand the DUmmies. Ask anyone from the DUFU threads, especially franksolich, whom I know from other message boards. I don’t want to be like them. That is why I am on guard and want to confront anyone who spreads demonstrably false nonsense like this, or who does or says some of the other more unsavory things that the DUmmies have been (in)famous for. I love FR too much let it become just a right-wing DU. We are better than that.

The issue IS NOT SETTLED. Quite to the contrary, zero could settle this issue in a matter of minutes if he were to present his Birth Certificate to authorities for verification, but he has not done so, and apparently will not, unless forced to do so.
The issue may be settled to YOUR satisfaction, but there are many, including myself, who initially thought that this was a non-issue, but with every move by Hussein 0bama to obfuscate the matter, have become more suspicious of his motives. Hawaiian authorities said that they had seen his Birth Certificate, but in their carefully worded statements, they did NOT confirm that he was actually born in Hawaii.
As far as defending The Constitution - if following it is defending it, then YES, I'm a defender. If you choose to "look the other way" then you are a coward.
