“This defies credulity”
Yes it does as Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod are his right hand men.
To: Red Steel
All the Obama camp was offering Blago was, according to Blago, “gratitude?” Gratitude, in this case, could be defined as something tangible, but not quite as tangible as the 1.5 mill that JJJ was offering.

Yes it does as Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod are his right hand men. Yup. You can't get any closer than these two.

Why, if Fitzgerald was listening to the wiretaps and laying his trap for the governor and corrupt politicians interested in buying a U.S. Senate seat, did he abort the operation with his 6 a.m. arrests of Blagojevich and his chief of staff? Why spring the trap when the mouse is just outside, mulling over whether to go for the cheese? Why not let the plot unfold? Why not let the corrupt bidder for a Senate seat make a solid offer and bring in his or her down payment? Why not wait for the felony to be committed instead of acting while it was still being considered and discussed? Come on, Pat. It's okay. We all know the answer. You should have just come out and say that Fitzgerald was protecting any other Democrats who may have been caught up in it.

If you listen to all the Dems, they say no one is guilty negotiating an offer to Blago. Only Blago is guilty, and he’s mentally ill...according to the Dim talking points.
And I have magic dust too.

Bob Beckel went after the mentally ill response as well. The Dems are trying quite a curve-ball around this. How is a corrupt politician seeking more power and money “mentally ill”? Status quo and history will guide this.

LOL.
Did you catch the Obama press conference the other day? One question asked by a reporter had two parts, the second part the reporter asked Obama who was AdvisorB? Obama waffled through the first part of the question, and ducked the second part of the question.
I want to know who was AdvisorB? And what did Presidential AdvisorA (Rahim Emanuel), and Advisor B offer to Blago to appoint, Obama favorite, Miss Jarrett?

"Something is rotten in the state," says Marcellus in "Hamlet."...Elsewhere in Shakespeare there appears the line "Me thinks he doth protest too much" - it seems perfectly natural to most people that Obama would have at one time or another at least chatted with Blago about who might replace him in the Senate, even to the point of suggesting whom he would like to see get the position - the fact that he has been so emphatic in saying that he didn't have such a discussion certainly suggests that something so toxic occurred during the session that he now has to deny it ever took place at all - like maybe Blago asked for some payback and Obama didn't report it to the authorities as he should have.....
To: Red Steel
To piggyback on my last post. Byron York from National Review said the Attorney General is using an Illinois statute that says illness or incapacitation is grounds to remove Blagojevich as governor. A huge reeeeeach here LoL!
I see where that Dem talking point came from.
To: eyedigress
Read my post# 11. The DEMbats most likely got their talking point from an Illinois statute that they are using to get rid of Blago.

Gov may be crazy like a fox......Patty Blank-O-Witch was TOO connected to Rezco not to have been called in, questioned, threatened and possibly made a deal with. She also was the real estate agent that arranged the purchase of BOTH of Obama’s homes.
If anyone knows where the bodies are buried it would be Patty and her family. (Alderman Dad and Uncle “Con” own a “dump”....Sounds like something out of the Sopranos)
What we may have witnessed is a charade. Why did they contact JJJ the day before? So the Gov can get off? Is his escapade just cover or bait for a bigger fish? Is the BIG dance just now being choreographed?

I now know what they are referencing but the action is to keep his butt out of trial. The discovery could be hell for obama.

I would not put it by the Dims if they got word from the Illinois AG office before she went public.
To: Red Steel
While Obama said he had never spoken with the governor about the Senate seat understandable, given how toxic the scandal-plagued Blagojevich was he did not say his staff had not done so. In fact he said that he was confident that his staff did not speak to Blago and that is exactly why he is in trouble because now we know for a fact that Rahm Emmanuel did speak to Blago.
Sooner or later most poeple will get really tired of this "cool image" that Obama tries to portray all the time and they will get sick of this constant movie production about Obama image.
