Obama campaign manager David Plouffe reflects in an interview: "We went through as rigorous a primary as we've ever seen in our country's history, I think, and there's no doubt that made us a stronger general election candidate. A lot of our dirty laundry was aired, and we had practice in testing a campaign...because we had been through 54 primaries and caucuses, and run the gauntlet. McCain hadn't done that."

REASON FOR LOOSING THE WHITEHOUSE
1. MC CAIN, RNC they should have had some fresh oppoents
2. Educated Rep.Voters, stayed home to show they are
tired of what the elected republican officials
are doing, or rather not doing
3. The economy- Bush tried to stimulate but people
can not buy cars without a stupid job. Can’t buy
anything withOout a job so give that $$$$$ to us and
then we’ll start buying and we’ll buy those
da*n stupid cars.
4. The lying press - building up the O to be the savior
he’s not.
5. Stupid uneducated racists voters. Won’t even discuss
them SOB’S
The only good thing in this race was PALIN....

I don’t think there would have been a need for an Operation Chaos if the GOP in each state closed their primaries—that, in part, is how McCain got the nomination.

I think McCain prevailed because conservatives could not unite behind a candidate. He won not so much because the base liked him as for lack of a better alternative. But he was doomed from the outset by the lack of enthusiasm for him and the fact that the vote at the end was a vote against his opponent and not for him. If it wasn't for Palin he would have lost by 30 points and no one on the Republican side would have come out to vote. I wouldn't have.

All true, but much of the Oprah’s Choice people are so anti-GWB (and with cause too) that they couldn’t think straight.
