Take the bolt out, look down the barrel and look at the target.
Then peep up to the scope and click in the retrical to the same aim point
The poor man’s bore sight. You can do that with bolt and break actions.

I level my guns in my gun vice both veritcal and lateral(with scope bases). Then I sight down the barrel at a wall corner(locking down the gun in vice).
Now I mount my scope, and align my vertical reticles on the corner to match gun barrel.
Get’s me pretty close.

I will try that after mounting the scope!
