Did Obama Fail Ethics Requirements of Illinois Bar?
A federal source of mine with ties to Chicago says that FBI agents had enough to prosecute corrupt, helmet-haired Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich back in June, when he was already engaged in some of the blackmail and extortion alleged by the FBI affidavit and other documents associated with his arrest and prosecution.
The source says that the FBI was suddenly ordered by the U.S. Attorney's Office--and I believe that order came from the top, ie., U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald and Justice Department officials in Washington--to hold off on doing anything until after the election, so as not to hurt Obama's White House bid. Here's what my inside source says.
I know for a fact FBI Chicago had enough to indict Blagojevich in June. They were 2 weeks from indictment in June based on cooperation and testimony at the Stu Levine trial. Levine was Tony Rezko's bud, fund raiser for Blago, and our President-Elect.
I wonder what took them so long? My guess is when it started to look like a lock for Obama's nomination by the Dems, someone at the U.S. Attorney's Office put it all on hold, so as not to spoil "The Annointed One's" shot.

You've seen the original birth certificate, then?
It was a little before your time here, but this stuff reminds me of the M. Larry Lawrence dustup.
M. Larry Obama. Got a nice ring to it...
Sorry, everyone knows that around here - just joking around about the “rapper”.
Gee, who would have ever thought this? LOL, Fitz is at least as corrupt as the scum he chases. All these turds float in the same toilet. You can only wonder what else Fitz is doing to protect his next boss.
BUMP!
Surely, Obama et al; had wind of this and so were already in 'protection' mode? Nice to see such 'self-servance' working for everyone involved here; 'save Blago' that is. And actually; for all of Blago's idiocy; it could have been worse for him.
Perhaps I misread all this; but Fitzgerald reminds me of the 'adopted son' in the God Father. . .is the Law his loyalty, or 'what/whom'? He apparently wins here, by the timing as well.
I don't know; but think there is a 'war going on ' here. . .the kind these Dems love to fight.
Well OF COURSE that is what happened. Protecting Zero rather than protecting the country from a Chicago thug getting into the White House.
There is a woman that claims Clinton raped her back when he was Governor.
Based on the RNC’s behavior over the last four yrs., I’ve often wondered if the Republican Party, It’s a shame testosterone isn’t an over the counter drug—we could send them some.
Illinois no longer has some of the most enlightened people in the country? When did this happen?
Well, you start with some government schools, mix in a whole bunch of liberal leaning teachers and presto, you have the current day Illinois.
I read that both Obama and his wife Michelle let their law licenses lapse in record time after becoming lawyers. From what they could see in Illinois, politics seemed a lot easier for a liar and shady manipulator and more lucrative.
I just happen to believe that we shouldn't be trying to win elections and gain power by prosecuting corrupt (or in many cases completely innocent) politicians just before an election. Unfortunately the Dems don't believe that and are clearly following a path where we will continue to see Republicans "brought to justice" in the months preceding the general elections. It is a bad trend that somehow has to end. I don't know how to do that and it is clearly a one-sided deal.
So in a sense the delay was, of course, not fair - Fitz should have done what the Dems would do and that would be to nail the governor in June and impact the election. The Dems would have done it so why shouldn't we. It's a too bads make a right kind of question. With Fitz, however, the question is moot. Fitz does what is good for Fitz. I don't trust that guy for a minute. You will see that things will work out for him. 99 guys will get fired in January and Fitz won't be one of them.
Ya, ya, I saw it instantly after I hit the post button.
My home boy, Clinton, rappin'!
LOL Believe me, it happens to me ALL the time, too.
I wasn't really ragging on ya, it was just a weak attempt at humor on my part.
Yes, i thought Tribe was teaching ConLaw?
Regardless of his politics, I learned a lot from reading his hornbook on American Constitutional Law.
OH! Juanita Broaddrick, back when Sick Willie was Attorney General for Arkansas.
Here's a catchup for you from FRs archivist. Report back on Monday. (;>)
