How 'effing in the tank can they get?!?
Prosperous states control their: union thugs, illegal burglars, and enviro-nazis
December 10th, 2008
By Kevin Coach Collins
While state after state moves toward bankruptcy and plans to beg Washington for bailout money, at least three states are showing America the way back to prosperity. None knuckle under to unions, enviro-nazis or illegals.
Wyoming expects a 100 million surplus in her next budget. North Dakotas unemployment rate is half our national average and West Virginia is in historically good financial shape.
West Virginia is 15.1% unionized, but most of those workers are in the United Mine Workers Union (UMWU). North Dakota and Wyoming are right to work states.
All three get their wealth from effective use of natural stores of energy producing minerals. Wyoming and North Dakota have no union interference and few enviro-nazis to fight. West Virginia joins them in the latter.
North Dakota will have an 800 million dollar budget surplus for the next two years even after cutting property taxes and will still enjoy this prosperity even at $40.00 a barrel price of crude oil.
None of these states has more than 2,500 illegal aliens. Not one of these states where free enterprise and a fair labor market flourishes, has a sanctuary city to act as a magnet for alien burglars willing to help spend the states wealth. In all three states the money collected in taxes and fees is used to make life better for the hard working American citizens who pay taxes and keep down their demands for service.
In West Virginia, North Dakota and Wyoming people dont have to watch their schools being forced to teach in foreign languages or their hospitals deal with diseases found in the slums of third world countries.
The road to national prosperity is clear: low union thug interference in commerce, control enviro-nazis to get the most from natural resources and slam the door on illegal burglars.
There are really no surprises in this data. We know what works, but our political class doesnt want to do what needs to be done. Instead of trying to spread North Dakota to California, they are trying to Los Angles to Fargo. This fight is being pushed to the back burner, but we cant let it stay there. We cant sit by and watch as the Democrats flush America down the toilet to sign up illegals as new voters. We have to tell the enviro-nazis to go pound sand and we have to fight the card check scheme.

Illinois may not be the most corrupt STATE, buy Chicago is the most corrupt CITY.
Illinois, Louisiana and Alaska.
I heard something like this on the radio - some crapola about “on a per capita” basis.
So I guess if Charles Manson is killing people in LA and two people in a sparsely populated town have parking ticxkets, crime is much higher in the small town on a “per capita” basis.
The news media in a republic is supposed to be independent, objective and always skeptical. What we have is just another arm of the Obama campaign, posing as a free press. We need NEVER to forget it.
While West Virginians have recently voted republican for POTUS, West Virginia local government is dominated by democrats, FWIW.
I live in N.D. and I have no idea WTH the article is talking about. About the most corruption we have around here is if a borrowed lefse stick isn’t returned.
Specifically convictions from a Federal case. Internal convications don’t count.
I wonder if we should start a countdown clock on drive by media final expiration ...
They pulled there numbers from a Justice Department report and the numbers in the report don’t match the map. Wonder why Illinois numbers have deflated and Alaska’s have been inflated?
I wish North Dakota didn’t have those nasty, nasty winters or we might move there.
I take issue with the approach used here. Some places are so corrupt that the corrupt are rarely prosecuted. So if you define corrupt by the incidence of convictions, such places look clean.
Stupid study.
I live in N.D. too. (Minot) I can’t think of what this article is referring to either. I’m not saying the politicians are sqeeky clean here, but good God, this is one of the politically cleanest states I’ve lived in.
Nice typo. A bit of a Freudian slip, perhaps?
This reminds me of the UN report that claimed Finland is the most crime ridden nation in the world, and Nigeria the most law abiding.
Honestly, the winters aren’t that bad. There are some really bad, cold, windy days, but you just get stuff done inside on days like those. The people, lifestyle, hunting, fishing are great. Our public schools are probably better than alot of pricey private schools in other states. (Caveat here) we’re due for a nasty storm this weekend...-20 degrees, a foot of snow, wind up to 55mph. I put the snow blower on the tractor in case I have to dig myself out for work on Monday.
Do you have anything for us to read?USA Today won't allow any posting of their material on FreeRepublic . . . I tried to post the same story and it was blocked.
But getting back to the main subject . . . I have seen everything now! Yahoo astroturfing a biased assumption by a USA Today reporter painting North Dakota as being more corrupt than Illinois based totally on skewed, cherry picked facts
JUST ONE DAY after Obamas friend Blagojevich and his aid are arrested for massive corruption . . . just to make Obama look a little bit better in the public eye USA Today manufactures this fawning Obama whitewash attempt. I will tell you I am no whiz at stats so you need to go to the comments section and read how this reporters story is exsposed by many as nothing more than manufactured smoke screen for Obama and his home state of Illinois!
I am originally from ND and I am truely blown away by USA Today trying to say that the corruption of North Dakota is even greater than Chicago/Illinois corruption.
We have a saying here in the Midwest - You can claim figures dont lie . . . but you could also claim that liars can figure!
