Pretty mind-boggling that it wasn’t found earlier. Above-ground and a third of mile from the Anthonys’ home? Makes me wonder if it was recently moved to the location where it was found.

News that it was a skull that fell out of the bag and not a “head”, may be consistent with the time that has passed.

Seems like the dogs would have found this on their initial search?

Above-ground...

Who could possibly think they could just toss a bag with a body in it somewhere... and think it wouldn't be found? Why not bury it? ...Don't make no sense.

I think you're right. Here is a map of the area where the body was found.

That is quite odd. Ponds are magnets for all sorts of wildlife. The likelihood of the skeleton not being disturbed by such wildlife doesn’t make sense, considering the date of the crime.
It might also the involvement of others or the innocence of the mother.

They mention having cordoned off a "retention pond" where the bag was found. I wonder if the bag could have been tossed into the pond, not far from the bank, and the water level subsequently dropped and exposed it.

Fox just said it was in an “undeveloped” area a half mile from her parent’s home.

.3 mile is exactly the distance to the end of my block from my driveway. No way I could miss a bag from that distance. Hell, there's probably been reporters parked that far.

Prayers for the innocent child. May her youth be spent wth the angels, her soul bathed in love

"Pretty mind-boggling that it wasn’t found earlier."

Tim from Equuasearch said earlier that the area was under water after search efforts began and they were unable to search those undeveloped lots. Casey told her mother that she believed Caylee was 'close to home'.

The area where the body was found was behind a fence. Searcher weren't allowed to go back there without permission from the owner - that was in process.
