From the local news coverage, Houston appears to be one big fender bender.
What is this white stuff, anyway?

Gore and Obama sure picked the right time to make their joint global warming pitch.
They're about to get a cold weather/snow event on the West coast this weekend.
Gore's credibility is going to take a "stock market crash dive" when reality (again) proves him wrong.

It’s been falling for about an hour now. Enough to make slush!

I was there in ‘90 when it snowed around Christmas. I was down in the Vieux Carrie but got across the GNO to the Westback before noon.
From then on the traffic was at a standstill. It took many 6-hours to get across. A nightmare.

I remember snow in Houston in late 50s, early 60s. The whole city shut down.

Heavy, wet snow in Metairie. Everything is white- it’s sticking to everything but the wet sidewalk. Stunningly beautiful-makes even the swamp beautiful.
Ahhhhh, this is magic, a Christmas gift that is also going up to north Alabama where a child I love more than anything will be thrilled to see it. If only I were with her.
The last time it snowed in New Orleans it was CHRISTMAS DAY 2004! Million to one odds on that- of course we got the flip side of those odds with Katrina the following year.
Lets hope this miraculous snowfall portends wonderful things. But for today- it’s magic, like a dream- and I’m taking my little Maltepoo outside to enjoy it in his sweater. He’s named after a snowman, after all...where’s the camera..

I’d like some here.
IMO, it should snow before and around Christmas - then it can go away until next Christmas.
