BEAUMONT, Texas — An upper level storm system dumped as much as two inches of snow on some parts of Southeast Texas, creating icy road conditions and power outages, according to officials.

In Texas City, one wreck involved a police car in which the officer was not injured, The Galveston Daily News reported for an online story Thursday. Icy conditions were reported on the Emmett F. Lowry Expressway in Texas City and State Highway 146.

A winter weather advisory and freeze warning are in effect until 9 a.m. Thursday for areas east of I-45, said Sam Shamburger, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Lake Charles, LA.

I have asked “global warming” proponents to explain exactly what types of weather or climate phenomena would indicate that man-made climate change is NOT taking place. (Obviously, the theory must be falsifiable to be of any value. If there’s a pattern indicating global warming, then there must be some other pattern that indicates there is NOT global warming.) But I never get an answer.

To them, cold weather indicates global warming, as does hot weather, more storms, fewer storm, polar ice ment, polar ice thickening, less salty sea water, more salty sea water, etc.

So EVERYTHING is caused by global warming, and we need to radically change our economy to address it.

This is not science.

It would be only slightly more intellectually dishonest to say that abortion-on-demand, affirmative action or taking prayer out of the public schools is causing global warming. After all, ever since we implemented all these policies we have had sun, rain, heat, cold, snow, etc.

That might be closer to the truth. *8>)

Not what I was thinking, but an interesting point nonetheless.

I just talked to my sister in New Orleans, actually just north of the city, she has two inches of snow on the ground and the snow is coming down hard. She has lived there for the last twenty-five years and has seen snow flurries twice but never any accumulation. She says the old timers are telling her they have never seen accumulation before.

Global warming is such nonsense. The sun is in a very inactive period which usually signals a long cooling period like the Dalton Minimum or even the Maunder Minimum. Either of those would be catastrophic. We have shorter growing seasons to look forward to because of late and early frost and much of the north that was productive just a couple of years ago will be useless now. All this could happen very rapidly, certainly within ten years, it may have already started yet the GW advocates keep telling us we are burning up even though temperatures have been falling for over ten years. Our politicians are eating it up like there was no tomorrow.

Putting more CO2 into our atmosphere will increase crop yields significantly and increase food production with less water where we can still grow and these idiots want to reduce it.
