There's nothing like a little Guilt-by-Association Red Meat to bring the anti-Obama crowd back to the comment boards. Hundreds of posts have found their way to various articles on washingtonpost.com and elsewhere about the dramatic arrest yesterday of Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich for, among other things, allegedly trying to sell the Senate seat vacated by President-elect Obama.
Federal prosecutors said without equivocation that there is no evidence of Obama's involvement in the matter, but the noisy anti-Obama comment crowd stirred from its post-election silence to fire away. Because, as Michael D. Shear and Chris Cillizza wrote, "the conspiracy allegedly dreamed up by Blagojevich was an unwelcome development in Obama's transition to power, threatening something Obama has avoided throughout his career -- the taint of Chicago politics."
Our Readers Who Comment are warring over this, of course. A few call for impeachment of Obama, and we haven't even had the inauguration. A few posts repeat the phony birth certificate allegation that the Supreme Court tossed earlier this week, and some make reference to Obama's televised statement that "we [pause].. I had no contact with the governor." Unfortunately, the article does not include that "we" in the direct quote and readers see the omission as part of continuing bias in Post reporting on the election. Obama's supporters rise to the defense. The string reads like one on a pre-election story.
We'll start with thall1, who wrote, "...Anyone who thinks that President Elect Obama did not try to influence to choose who would replace him also would believe that Barney Frank was straight. As for the stupid Governor, his only mistake was to ask for more than the President Elect was willing to deliver."

You frickin POS, where was the Washington Post during the Abrahmoff and Mark Foley episodes? Oh, that's right, you were ripping the GOP up, down and center for "corruption".
Of course, Blago has no bearing on your fellating of the marxist Obama. Neither did Rezko, Jeremiah Wright, Rashid Khalidi, Khalid al-Mansour, Louis Farrakhan, Jodie Evans, Franklin Raines, Father Pflegler, James "House Niggers" Meeks, Bill Ayers, Bernadine Doehrn, Frank Marshall Davis, Saul Alinsky, etc etc etc.
You filthy bastard.
Rashid Khalidi
yeah whatever happened with that, huh?
So why have the reader’s comments section then, huh WashComPost? Because that’s probably the only area of the newspaper where one can find an oasis of objectivity in a desert full of Obama butt-smooching.
Arrest Terrifies Pro-Obama Crowd.....
Why is it so hard for the bastards at the Washington Compost to understand that FACT?
Doug Kneepads Feaver? ;)
I have dyslexia that is how I read it.
“There’s nothing like a little Guilt-by-Association Red Meat to bring the anti-Obama crowd back to the comment boards.”
WaPo is much more comfy with the BDS crowd.
Clueless liberal Obama lapdogs. What did the Donofrio case say about the birth certificate?
It used to be a good thing to examine our leaders of EITHER party.
Not long ago I seem to remember Hillary Clinton screeching hysterically about it being out "DUTY" to dissent to government.
How far this nation has fallen in such a short span of time.
I, for one, hopes the Washington (Com)Post keeps up proping up Obama. he will eventually bring them down with him. These idiots are to stupid to see the forest through the trees.
...anyone else remember Enron and Bush’s friend Kenny Boy?
Hm...where were the holier than thou self righteous media types back then?
Oh right - they were screaming “guilty” with the rest of the lib establishment....
Damn good post.
I don’t recall the MSM ever refering to anti-Bush people. Question authority and all that.
Enron=Bush
(never forget)
“How far this nation has fallen in such a short span of time.”
And falling faster all the time. To take an honest look at what’s in front of us all is too much.
However (and head bent in prayer), it’s not too late.
Best Regards,

This certainly takes the fire off the controversy as to whether obama is a ‘natural-born citizen’ or not.
He certainly has taken to politics Chicago-style, in a BIG way.
Of course, obama is always insulated from the direct contact with the corruption.
Yeah, right. And that rustling sound is a whole herd of pigs taking flight.
and to be sure that this scandal didn’t affect The One, Fitzy pulled the plug on it prior to the crime being committed. Fitzy could have caught Jesse Jr., Andy Stern, Rahm Emmanuel, Valerie Jarrett maybe and who knows who else.
But now we know we’ll ensure that the corruption probe starts and ends with Blago and his two deputies and none of the other criminals who were so desparately trying to commit the crime of buying a US Senate seat will have been prevented from going through with it and getting themselves indicted.
Fitzy couldn’t end the Plame investigation when he found out that Armitage was the leaker. He went on and on and on so he could twist up anybody else he could. But not this time. He wasn’t interested in who else was willing to ‘kick dirt in the umpires eyes’ as he so famously told us. He just didn’t care.
