“Blagojevich Meets with Obama to Address Budget Shortfall

WMBD/WYZZ - SPRINGFIELD Governor Rod Blagojevich is turning to the president elect for help in a billion dollar budget shortfall.
The governor will meet Monday and Tuesday Philadelphia with Barack Obama. Their discussion will focus on Illinois’ $2 billion deficit and how the Land of Lincoln will manage its 2009 fiscal year.
In November, Blagojevich announced a plan to manage the state’s deficit. Part of that plan requests more than $1 billion dollars in federal money over the next three years, in addition to short-term borrowing to help pay bills on time. Illinois is currently facing a potential $5 billion backlog of unpaid bills.”

Amazing. People call Bush “stupid” yet zer0bama has all these crooked friends and associates and plays dumb and gets a free pass.
Either zer0bama is ignorant or stupid, or perhaps both, but if Palin, Bush or any other GOP’er had such a history of associating with so many known criminals, the MSM would never let them get by with the “I didn’t know” excuse.
Instead, the MSM is avoiding mentioning that Blago is a Dem and they go out of their way to say that zer0bama didn’t do anything wrong, even though the investigation isn’t nearly finished.
How many times did Bush get the benifit of the doubt by the MSM on anything?

Not that it matters (or so it seems) but in the actual audio it sounded like he went to say “I had no contact with the governor wh(atsoever)...” like he’s constantly self editing and we all know why people do that. :-)

Excellent point, Army Air Corps. Why would the governor say that Obama was only offering appreciation if they (or members of the staff) hadn’t had a conversation about it with possible offers made?
Yes, it does. Obama said he had NO CONTACT with the governor. Obviously he not only has had contact, but this is a contemporaneous document from the governor in the form of a release saying that they not only had contact but spoke specifically about Obama's replacement. Obama lied.
