I've wiped away today's tears for the loss of Tony, which was yours (and ours, in a very long distance way).

Tony gave us the gift of his presence here on Free Republic and gave to me, personally insights in to a true and deep faith which I only can share in an appreciative way as he stated his Faith so wonderfully.

There is honest love coming from Free Republic today and honest feelings of loss ... I cannot imagine your feelings, but having your privilege of closeness to Tony, I hope that he is kept alive in the hearts of you and the children. I hope they will know just how wonderful he was (and is).

May the Holy Spirit bring you special comfort during this blessed season.

Hugs for you and for your children that encompass all of you.

Tony is the first person I see every day as he occupies the background on my desktop ... I will not soon forget the sound of his voice or the words that he wrote.

Let us not mourn the loss of Tony, but let us thank God that Tony lived.

It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather, we should thank God that such men lived. by George Patton.

To me, the same is true for Tony. I am thankful that Tony lived. He touched many lives. He was a bright star in a world of darkness. What I shall work on is being a bright star like Tony. One who can show others by actions. I know this is not easy, but Tony gave me an example. Maybe if we all learned something from Tony Snow's example, the world would be a better place. And Tony is in a better place. Tony truly knows what peace is now. I am thankful for that because Tony deserves to be with the greatest in the greatest place.

I don’t think a day has gone by where Tony doesn’t cross my mind in some way. His wit, humor love of family and belief in conservative values made Tony such a great friend to so many on this forum. We will always miss him!!
