I will give you this...I agree The President and his administration, along with the Republicans on the Hill, should have been a lot tougher on those two creeps, they should have been a lot tougher on reid and pelosi, they should have been a lot tougher on the lying liberal media, etc., etc.
However, this thread was and is not the place to place that criticism. Period.
...and whether you like it or not, when you did it, it makes you look like just another deranged Bush-Hater, suffering from a severe overload of BHS...IMO.

compassionate conservatism, however well-intentioned, is perceived by the venal political animals on the left as a sign of weakness.Wait for the upcoming deranged liberalism, however well-intentioned, to be perceived by the venal terrorist animals of the world as a sign of weakness....President Bush took the WOT to the terrorists...Our Narcissist-in-chief will throw out the welcome mat to terrorists around the world, bringing the WOT to a city near you!

You have a very low threshold for tossing out the “deranged” label.
I sincerely feel President Bush has damaged the conservative movement. I have given you my rationale and a few reasons why. I do not hate him. If that makes me “deranged” so be it.
You did say it was your opinion. Fair enough. That is what this place is about.
Have a nice evening.

However, the aisle-crossing, consensus-building weakness of the Republicans has undoubtedly EMBOLDENED them to a higher level of arrogance.Nah...more like a Union thug on a pickett line v police once you have the sheriff and the NLRB on your side during a Dem Pres/Dem Congress/Liberal court era!

...not that I disagree with your opinion at all! Just that the Chicago style ‘pizza pie’ would taste the same regardless of who’s in the Oval Office!

Yes, I mentioned that as an historically significant positive aspect of his Presidency. He has been magnificent and often alone in this battle.
But we were discussing emboldening the Left and their inherent corruption via Bush’s domestic, let’s-all-get-along, look the other way compassionate conservatism.

I dunno.
BlowMe knew he was supposedly ALREADY under investigation and yet he continued to make these outrageous in-your-face remarks, and apparently STILL advertised the Senate seat as up for grabs.
With an active, vocal executive branch, I think it would have given even the venal Chicagoans at least SOME pause.

Very cool! The loose ends in this are: 1 - The Tribune angle where they just filed bankruptcy and could be determining their short-term cash strategies by selling ink on a scandal. 2 - Rezko investigation seeing sunshine closer to 1/20. The Fitz timing is perfect. Plus, Reno/Gorelick/every other Dem has taught us to look at real threats when these domestic (faux) scandals appear.
