WASHINGTON The Supreme Court has turned down an emergency appeal from a New Jersey man who says President-elect Barack Obama is ineligible to be president because he was a British subject at birth. The court did not comment on its order Monday rejecting the call by Leo Donofrio of East Brunswick, N.J., to intervene in the presidential election.
Old News
yes.
that’s the donofrio suit.
Yesterday’s News...
I think this guy’s got a good chance of beating Hillary for the nomination.
Donofrio’s case. Wrotnowski up for conference Dec 12.
Misleading headline. The SOC never said that they would not hear this case as of yet. A second case has been picked up for conference this Friday by Justice Scalia. There seems to be new cases being started everyday as well. The issue is gaining steam and the MSM (and the blogosphere) are putting out an avalanche of inaccurate and misleading headlines and news on the issue.
This is sorta old but aren’t there about a dozen more law suits going on?
I don’t know... she appears to be unstoppable to me...
;^)
So far one FRer has claimed he actually expected this to go someplace, but that’s it. And I know he wont bet money on it.
Here is my senator’s response to the eligibility issue regarding Obama’s citizenship:
Dear Ms. Marlowe :
Thank you for contacting me regarding Senator Barack Obama’s eligibility to become President. It is good to hear from you.
Article II of the Constitution states that in order to be President, a person must be a natural-born citizen, at least 35 years old, and have resided in the U.S. for at least 14 years. Regardless of the citizenship status of the parents, any person born on U.S. soil is a U.S. citizen.
Senator Obama was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961, which makes him a U.S. citizen and at age 46 he meets the minimum age requirement. He has also resided in the U.S. for at least 14 years. While I do not agree with many of Senator Obama’s policy positions, he does meet the Constitutional requirements to be President of the United States .

AP is always last as they take so much time to make it look good for the liberal they are defending.

Ask you Senator to prove it.
Yep. Senator Chambliss’ response was about as lame a response as I could have asked for...
there were 500 articles on that yesterday.
.............(nothing)
I don’t know... Once something gets started against an Illinois politician it’s pretty much a done deal. The miracle is getting charges brought... The MSM isn’t going to be able to hide too much about the case against Blagojevich - unless right now the feds are grilling him for even more information (which they probably are...).
