I’m clueless about judicial things (among other things), so this is probably a super dumb question, but is this the judge who will hear the whole case?

I think today was an arraignment judge. The fed judges are on rotation if it’s like in Tampa, FL. Whoever comes up on rotation barring any conflicts of interest (what are the chances?) will be assigned the federal jury trial.

I do not know. I don’t believe so, but that’s only a guess.
