Yes, but they do not consistently vote for ‘Rats as a whole.

I take it for granted the posters who make those comments aren't Republicans. I wouldn't entirely rely on the Exit polls, particularly for small samples, but the GOP has some serious demographic problems.

As we focus on here, Jews at 76%, but not very many.

Blacks, 95%, OK, we write them off too.

Hispanics, 67% Obama, Asians, 62% Obama. If we're not willing to accept minorities who have voted for a D in the past, we're stuck with the 55% of the whites, who voted for McCain.

But then there's age, 18-29; 66% for the one. The good news, 60 and older the GOP got a majority, 51%. I guess, that won't take us far.

First time voters, 69% for The One.

They get a pass, but Catholics, 54%, despite the Life issue.

70% of big cities, 59% of small cities, 50% of suburbs, the GOP depending on their thin 53% showing in small towns and rural areas, I guess.

It seems to me the GOP would be well advised to try to persuade some of those Dem voters based on the issues, not reject them as some would like.
