In spending nearly $1.2 million, the DCCC drubbed Fleming on a familiar topic -- his support for a 23% nat'l sales tax, or the "Fair" tax. Dems have been successful in ID, PA and VA in using the issue to turn the tables on the GOP, who usually own the tax issue.

Let me guess, they said he wanted to raise sales taxes to 23% - and that's it. Incredibly deceitful if they did so. Governor-elect Bev Perdue did a similar thing here in North Carolina, running ads saying that Pat McCrory 'wants to take tax dollars away from public schools to send to private schools,' period, because McCrory supported some school vouchers.
