But what if a neighbor saw out-of-state vehicles in the driveway, surveillance equipment and grow lights being installed, and aluminum foil being layered over the windows and decided to call it in?Then that, in itself, is a pretty weak justification for a search warrant.

Every affidavit in support of application for search warrant I have ever seen contained outrageous exaggerations and and often fabrications . When proven to be false , the cops lay the blame on the informant , questioned , the informants will deny making the statements , prosecutors and judges , usually former prosecutors , will say “ hey what do you expect , informants are liars “. Ask any of your local judges how often they turn down requests for search warrants due to insufficiency of probable cause . Never . Put some wine down their necks and they will admit they don't even read them before signing .

That’s a great video, and I strongly encourage everyone to watch the whole thing. Very informative and eye-opening. I watched it a year or two ago.

“Odessa narcotics unit raided the house only to find KopBusters attorney waiting under a system of complex gadgetry and spy cameras that streamed online to the KopBusters secret mobile office nearby”
The wording is odd, but it can be interpreted to mean that his attorney was at the other end of the “complex gadgetry and spy cameras” and not physically present in the house.

I actually found out about that video in a class I recently took on elder law. Somebody asked if a police officer could ask your age, or use it against you, when pulled over. The teacher, who was a retired NYS Supreme Court judge, basically said the police can anything they want against you and then gave out the link for that video. I was kinda shocked, but it does make sense. I have a lot of LEO friends and now I’m always joking around with them saying I can only talk to them through my attorney. LOL
