My post was about his conversion to Islam and its absurdity. By the way, you mentioned there is nothing wrong with being ‘just gay.’ Perhaps not, but if Jaqo ever moves to an Islamic society he’d be the first to be castrated (if there’s anything there!) and be murdered because Islam ranks that as among the worst human perversions and offenses to Allah. America will start looking better every day!

No, my point, and I didn’t make it clear, was that we say there is nothing wrong with being “gay”, and Jaqo can by all standards be judged as being “gay”, so let’s not be surprised by his deviancy, and let’s not pretend it is something else, if we as a society tolerate and celebrate it in others or in general anyway. Good question, “from what?” My personal opinion is that he’s a non-person in desperate search for some identity. He has no apparent substance, intellectual or emotional, and is a “lost soul” searching for something that will anchor him in a reality with which he can be comfortable. I’m no psychiatrist but he strikes me as a person who has no essential personality or ‘core’ to his existence. Kind of like the ‘shadows’ of 21st century America who lack meaning, purpose and belief in anything beyond this transitory and ephemeral existence.
