I once knew a guy who grew up on a hippie commune and worked in a communist food co-op (no bosses, everyone paid the same, every decision made by a vote).

The co-op went out of business and I asked him if he thought there was a lesson about communism in it. His reply: "It only went out of business because it had to compete with non-communist businesses. Otherwise, it would have been fine."

This is what passes for thinking among the left.

Reminds me of the comment from the worker in the old Soviet Union “Sytem good. We pretend work. They pretend pay us”. What does one expect from a sociology perfesser?

How revealing. This is the ultimate goal of Communists. Destroy all non communist businesses.

Sure, and that's why they all of humanity must be "socialized" into the party's politically correct ways of thinking and behaving -- it's just too inconvenient to have all these capitalists and freedom-lovers running around, making the party look bad.
