Snubbed by Palin, Oprah is fuming now
Oprah Winfrey has slammed Sarah Palin after the failed Republican vice-presidential candidate snubbed offers to appear on the chat queen’s show. While Palin did make an appearance on other US hosts Greta Van Susteren, Matt Lauer and Larry King’s shows to talked about her unsuccessful bid to reach the White House, but she ignored ‘The Oprah Show’ despite being invited.
And such mistreatment has left Oprah bitter and she has now claimed that the Alaskan governor will be desperate to talk to her when she releases her memoirs.
"I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over... I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta. She talked to Matt. She talked to Larry. But she didn't talk to me. Maybe she'll talk to me now that she has a (multi-million dollar) book deal,” Contactmusic quoted Oprah as saying.
The US TV titan has been a committed supporter of US President-elect Barack Obama throughout his campaign for the White House.
She will also host her show from Washington, D.C. the day before his inauguration in January (09).

i ran into a daily kos ‘contributor’ last night... and she went off on Palin and Bush (surprising). all she kept saying was how stupid both are and how the people she knows are totally against Palin. i pointed out that no one on the right is looking to appease the folks @ the daily kos, as they are mostly nutjobs and whiny teens stuck in middle aged bodies.
the old political wisdom was to play to the center in the hopes to pull from your opponents constituents. problem is, the left is gone so far left that the GOP is sitting on the center with GWBush... and most people want to fix the country and not continue to flush it down the drain.
unfortunately for the country, the people that can actually fix it are on the right... and i for one will not help 0bama in any way, shape or form. i have and will continue to treat him with the same level of ‘respect’ the left has shown for GWBush. let it bottom out under 0bama... that’ll make it easier to start fixing it in 2012.

LOL - very true. If Orca is up to it, I’m sure Gov. Palin would enjoy a visit by Orca and Steadman to the wilds of Wasilla for a snow machine ride and a moose burger brunch... ;o)
So many think she is so great. The O was nothing until she got out that weekend and went with OB to all of his engagements. From then on it was OB all the way. I don’t listen to her because I have always felt she was to full of herself.
One small problem. If SP writes the book and gets $7 mil from a publisher, you know they won’t let Palin skip Oprah. The publisher will have her(Palin) on every media outlet possible to shill the book.

This is great news. I was hoping that Palin would have the self-respect to not appear on Oprah’s show after getting stiffed during the campaign.
The fact that Sarah is ignoring Oprah is what’s killing her. It’s been said that the polar opposite of love is not hate but rather indifference or to ignore. Oprah simply cannot heal with this, it’s as if Sarah shrugs her shoulders when Oprah shouts “do you know who I am”. The problem Oprah faces is that Sarah knows exactly who she is and who Oprah is and she’s not going to do the same type groveling that has characterized so many other Republicans.
Oprah had nothing to do with Sarah during the campaign....so what does she want now? To beat up on her for losing? Sarah please never EVER go on this over-blown narcissist’s show...I beg you...

If you want to know the source of Oprah’s anger just remember the great line from All the President’s Men: ‘just follow the money’. Oprah is losing her audience and thus advertising dollars because of her stand not to host Sarah during the campaign. Oprah is now paying the price as she should. By the way, no where have I read what Sarah’s views on going on Oprah’s program are. Perhaps she has never had any interest on going on her program.
Then it’s even sillier. Who IS Oprah anyway?
Oprah basically said last night on Extra that she has given up on Sarah coming to her show HAHAHAHAHA I have heard many interviews with Sarah’s friends and they all say the same thing, if you rub her the wrong way, if you are rude to her, she is DONE WITH YOU, she won’t have a damn thing to do with you, thats MY GIRL!! She doesn’t take BS from anyone, doesn’t matter if its Oprah, or Barbara Walters, or anyone, you screw with Sarah, and she will pay you back in spades. She is a chick you don’t mess with. Sarah don’t need Oprah, Oprah NEEDS Sarah, why, because her TV show is down the toilet, only liberals watch now, a 30 percent drop since the election, too damn funny, pretty soon Oprah will be asking for a bailout. What a damn loser she is, NOW she wants Sarah on her show, where the hell was she in March when Sarah invited her to her home in Alaska to talk about her life there, being the first woman governor in Alaska, Oprah said NO, so now Sarah is saying F U OPRAH

Oprah Winfrey may have introduced Democrat Barack Obama to the women of America — but the talkshow queen is not rushing to embrace the first woman on a Republican presidential ticket!
Oprah’s staff is sharply divided on the merits of booking Sarah Palin, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
“Half of her staff really wants Sarah Palin on,” an insider explains. “Oprah’s website is getting tons of requests to put her on, but Oprah and a couple of her top people are adamantly against it because of Obama.”
I had a neighbor back in the 90s who watched Oprah religiously. I watched once or twice to see what the obsession was, and just didn’t get it.
Her show is vapid, boring, and self-congratulatory all at the same time.
