Sen. Barack Obama, a beneficiary of a new Democratic strategy to take over elections? A Democratic juggernaut of local and regional organizations that blast Republicans and promote Democrats using money donated by hundreds of millionaires and even billionaires was a key to President-elect Barack Obama's win over GOP candidate Sen. John McCain last month. And a new report warns the same attack strategy now is being installed in states, targeting especially the offices of secretary of state, where elections are managed.
"The Democracy Alliance helped Democrats give Republicans a shellacking in November. Now it's organizing state-level chapters in at least 19 states, and once-conservative Colorado, which hosts the Democracy Alliance's most successful state affiliate, has turned Democrat blue," the report from Matthew Vadum and James Dellinger of Capital Research Center concludes.
The report from the center, which studies non-profit organizations, is titled "The Democracy Alliance Does America: The Soros-Founded Plutocrats' Club Forms State Chapters," and is accessible online.
It concludes the 2008 victory for Obama was a result of the outraged millionaire donors to the Democrats who watched another failure for their cause in 2004, after opening their checkbooks for tens of millions of dollars.

But it’s the Party of Working Families, isn’t it?
Yep. Wealthy socialists using their millions to sway elections. As Rush keeps saying, the result will be (if it is not their outright goal) is to ensure no one else can become wealthy like they are.
These last words from our Declaration of Independence bear witness to the difference between the characters of men between the two times. The "do anything, just let me keep my fortune" politico is the modern coward. No sacred honor. No reliance on Divine providence.
An over-agressive government should be fought, not pampered.
Soros.
Wanna send this to Austin Hill?
And if Democrats actually believed in honest elections they would not be targeting Secretary of state offices. Democrats want to rig the system so that they never lose again. Welcome to Russia where liberals will now start getting 90% of the vote.
For some, it’s not enough to be wealthy, they want others to be poor.
When in the course of human events ....
Didn’t McCain do a GREAT job of taking the “money out of politics”?
Well he certainly did a good job of taking money out of the Republican part of politics....
This strategy has been in play in Colorado for some time. It seems to be working.
“Didnt McCain do a GREAT job of taking the money out of politics?”
Actually, he did us a service, because now no Republican presidential candidate will ever limit themselves to the Federal dole. That alone may have meant the election.
where are the republican organizers?
“when in the course of human events...”
we’ll probably be getting there sooner or later.
best regards
“... is to ensure no one else can become wealthy like they are.”
Interesting observation. The USA has always been characterized by the mobility of wealth and station...unlike Europe with its aristocracy.
Problem. All the Obama voters think they are going to get free stuff. Reality is all they will get is lip service on the MSM. When the CRATS do not pay off the moocher crat voters will bail.
Except with the “McCain Feingold” rules he killed the GOP’s ability to raise money. We don’t have all those millionaires and billionaires the “party of the little people” have.
“Gee... It sure would be too bad if he was to have some kinda accident or sumtin’.”
McCain admitted he was copying BOB DOLE’s campaign.
From the middle east....
