The Arabic class Kliman came to attend on the last night of his life had been canceled, but he apparently didn't know that, said close friend Marshall Schwartz.

Are you and I the only ones in the U.S. who can say this? Even my husband saw a few in hotel rooms on business travel. Never saw it on a plane, either, although I saw "Moulin Rouge!" dubbed into French with Dutch subtitles.

Maybe I’m really stupid about elevators, but I’ve never been able to get into an elevator shaft until the car gets to the floor and the doors open. How can someone fall down an elevator shaft? Just asking.
