Ping!
And it’s flat too!
Bah, humbug!
Perhaps to a Temple of Darwin fanatic. They’ll believe almost anything, as long as it excludes God.
It’s my birthday, too. I’ve always has a soft spot for the bishop for his recognition of my importance to the universe.
You should read the whole paper...quite interesting!
PS the plus or minus 2000 yrs is as close as science can get at the moment. Of you want a more precise measurement, read the Bible :o)
What was the gravitational environment of the early universe?
A single meson can simultaneously be 2.22 microseconds old and over 10 microseconds old, depending on where you put the clock.
You’re trying to have it both ways.
No, he’s saying that current science is too inadequate to reveal the truth of God’s creation (as has historically been the case),
there’s no “both ways” to that.
Hmmm.
The fact that you criticize me is proof that my work is good.
Yeah, I can go with that...
NOT
Hmmm... seems someone is making an analogy between a human and the Creator, either elevating a politician to the level of someone we can’t possibly understand because of their superiority (leftist thinking), or discounting the omnipotence of the Creator.
Either way, you’re not on firm ground.
See Dr. Humphey’s book “Starlight and Time”, and Dr. Hartnett’s book, “Starlight, Time and the New Physics.” If nothing else, it would be a great place to start to begin getting answers to your relativistic questions—GGG
I have genes older than that, and even some of the stories in the Bible can be cross referenced with pictoglyphs in Finland and Russia that indicate a FAR OLDER time for just those stories.
Are you saying that the earth could be four billion “man” years old but also be 6000 “God” years old?
From God’s perspective, 6 days.
From our perspective (in a universe expanding near the speed of light), 4 billion years.
There’s now discrepancy, only misunderstanding on our part.
You bet.
I believe that science cannot disprove God. Of course God exists, and science is simply the study of the mechanisms that God created.
However certain creationists, the same ones who know that Jesus taught using parables, assert that Genesis cannot be anything like a parable.
So now they’re stuck with a 6000 year old Earth and have to use a lot of really bad science to back their assertion.
Then the atheists come along and are more than happy to knock down this strawman. Willing to take part in a logical fallacy, they claim that this is proof that God doesn’t exist.
Both sides are really sad to watch.
Correct. The following link shows that young/old universe depends on your relativistic frame of reference:
