That being said, I've heard Mormons also keep a year's supply of guns and ammunition on hand as well as food. I think everyone should do the same.
St. Paul?
/ducking/
It is not bigotry to observe differences between different teachings, or to compare them to a standard - in this case, the Bible. Mormonism is dramatically different than Christianity (even in its disparate forms) in what it teaches about Jesus Christ and the trinity, heaven, hell, salvation, the Devil, justification, atonement, sanctification, etc., etc., etc.
Ultimately it will be God who determines who is a Christian (i.e., who is saved by faith in the atoning work of Christ). But it is not difficult to study what Mormons believe and see that it does not agree with the Bible (by itself) and Christian doctrine. It is not 'bashing' to point these simple facts out. I have a good opinion of every Mormon I've ever met, as a person, but if they hold to their religion they are going to Hell. :-(
> That being said, I’ve heard Mormons also keep a year’s supply of guns and ammunition on hand as well as food. I think everyone should do the same.
There are a huge number of Mormons in the South Pacific. They are known for their generosity and providence, for raising well-mannered children and for being law-abiding good Citizens.
I could well believe that they keep a year’s supply in case of hard times: it wouldn’t surprise me at all.
If these Mormons are “heretics” then every community could do with a good measure of their brand of “heresy”.
Galatians 1:7-10
7. Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 2 Corinthians 11:14-15
14. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. ![]() 2 Corinthians 11:12-15 12. And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. 13. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. Revelation 13:13-15
13. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14. And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
It appears that EXPERIENCES can be deceiving...
If one believes the Bible is correct, then, by that Standard, Mormonism fails the test.
If, however, you are convinced that the Bible is either in error, been corrupted or mis-interpreted, then you are free to believe whatever you wish.

***Yep! I always wondered who came down from heaven and gave these bigots disguised as Christians the right to proclaim who is and who isn’t Christian.***
It was Joseph Smith who walked out of the woods proclaiming thaqt he had a message from God and all Christians were false and ONLY he was right and he would tell you how right he was or else you would be sorry!
Let’s not hijack the thread on to mormon doctrine.
The origional add was false and it was not ONLY mormons who voted for Prop 8 but many Christians and non Christians who knew homo marriage was just wrong. After all, 40 years ago marriage was declared unnecessary if you truly loved someone. Living together was all that was needed. The Marriage license was just a piece of paper.
Now marriage is the most important thing a person can do...but only if you are gay!
