Olberdouche a political expert ? I seem to recall he was in a prior incarnation a sportscaster who probably should’ve been covering poodle shows. I remember his idiotic blatherings in the ‘90s when he did the news on MSNBC during the breaks on Don Imus rolling his eyes during the Impeachment of Bubba and insisting on calling “White House in Crisis”, “White House in Clover.” He was an ignorant buffoon then, and still is.

He voted for the Bailout, against my stated wishes, and the stated wishes of MANY Georgians. And afterwards, he wrote me a lovely, condescendingly smug letter, explaining that I just did not understand the complexity of the issue. Grrrrrrrrrr.

Perhaps expert is the wrong word. Yeah.

But his show is new/politically oriented, the MSBSNBC version of O’Reilly. He’s obviously not qualified, ideology aside.

“I assume the lady was telling the truth.”

Well, in all fairness to the lady, Chambliss claims it was not a bailout. Here’s a bit of his very detailed e-mail dated October 2:

Chambliss: The bill that I voted for is not a bailout. H.R. 1424, “The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act,” is crafted to address the crisis; restore security for the American taxpayer; and return our nation to the strongest economic power in the world. And in the process this bill enables us to root out and punish those who cheated us all.

I know that my vote in favor of this package was not the politically popular thing to do, but this is not a popularity contest. This is about the future of our country and the future that my children and grandchildren will inherit. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind or my heart that my vote in support of this measure was the right thing for our economy, for Georgians, and for our country.

Yup. For whatever it is worth, I do think he got a good scare this time out, and it is my understanding that he will be returning to DC with a decidedly more conservative mindset... After all, he called on the considerable powers of our favorite Governor, to save him, and witnessed firsthand, the electrifying effect of her conservative zeal ; }

And if he doesn’t, we replace him. :)

Heck, I decided during the Bailout fiasco, that we had time to plan ol’ Johnny’s going away party. We have more than a few good, conservative congressman in GA, that we sure could use in the Senate.

I got the same condescendingly smug email... 4 times. Which then had me calling the office to explain to them that spamming me repeatedly with the same massively long worthless explanation would not change my mind on his vote.

Both of the GA senators should take notice that their humble constituents are closely watching their actions on the Hill.

Governor Palin seems to be single-handedly rescuing the Republican Party wherever she goes. I only wonder if that debt will be repaid. A woman of character depending on a pack of caricatures three years on...

Thank you very much. I live in Tennessee and we here in Tennessee are proud of our neighbors to the south.

Saxby deserved to win, he listened to us in 2007 when he nearly supported the amnesty bill, and we said No to amnesty and he heard us (same with Johnny Isakson) and did not support the bill afterall. And he still does not support any bill providing amnesty to illegal aliens.

While I appreciate Mr. Clelands service in VietNam, he didn’t actually lose his limbs in combat. He reached down and picked up his own hand grenade that he had dropped and it went off. Not exactly heroic.

Cleland himself has called what he did, "stupid".

Far from it being combat-related, he was making a beer run when it happened. Seriously.
