I wondered the same thing. Hospitals, I thought, will not give out information about their files. To file FOI for a medical record, one would have to be the person concerned.
But 0bama and his sister say he was born in a hospital.
That’s a good question. Supposedly it’s a “real” certificate of live birth. So whoever requested that document, (Obama’s mother, grandparents, whoever,) must have claimed that Obama was born in Honolulu. But why would they lie at that point? When Obama was an infant, they certainly didn’t know he’d be running for President someday! Unless the “Honolulu” part on the document is Photoshopped?

I have a birth certificate, but as for it’s validity- I was really very young when the event took place so I can’t really vouch for accuracy.
Home birthed is nothing but a smokescreen. If he was born at home, he would have no reason to deny it or claim otherwise.
My father was born at home in the 30’s. No big deal then.
Out of all the info presented so far, the fact that all the hospitals deny he was born there or was ever a patient is pretty compelling interest.
Esp. when the one he claims he was born in deny it, and another one his sister tries to claim he was born in deny it also.
EarthFrisk Blog has the attractive young lassies because, well...you remember what the sorta homely chunky maybe 30+ photographer said in the movie Jurassic Park (1993)? That he was in the environmental movement because the of the young “chicks” (I’m sure that was the word)....he kept it to that but one can surmise: available, hot, loose, etc. Reminds me too of what’s said you get at PBS affiliated TV stations.

Citizenship has it’s virtues. Even for American hating socialists like his mother and grandparents.
They may have simply wanted him to have the benefit of American citizenship. The grandparents provide the info for Obama’s birth to the registrar and it’s done.
The doctor that signed it can. Even if he is passed on.

You raise the questions I wondered about. I have to get medical records for clients in my work. To get ANY info, I have to have a signed HIPAA-compliant authorization for release of confidential information.
If I’m looking for records from more than 5 or 7 years ago, they have to be retrieved from the hospitals’ archives. They wouldn’t show a patient from 1961, much less divulge any information on whether the person was or was not a patient without authorzation. If they did they would be subject to enormous fines.
A passport can be used to prove citizenship, in the absence of a birth certificate, affidavits from older relatives, church records, contemporary census data, post-natal medical records....
Lots of things have been used in the courts and in making policy. There is lots of precedent.
There is no precendent, particularly in using a challenge to citizenship to overturn the results of a completed election.
