Website calls for rallies against coalition (Across Canada on Saturday)

An online website is urging Canadians to stand-up against the Liberal-NDP-Bloc Quebecois coalition.

The site, rallyforcanada.ca, is urging people to turn out for rallies across the country Saturday to object to the opposition pact to topple Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his Conservative minority government.

Aside from rallies in Ottawa on Parliament Hill and outside Queen's Park in Toronto, the site calls for rallies in Halifax, Montreal, Kitchener, London, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.

But one rally isn't waiting for the weekend.

Peterborough Conservative MP Dean Del Mastro called a noon-hour rally today outside Peterborough's city hall.

"We will be holding a rally to Stand up for Canada and show the political parties our disgust about this possible coalition government and to show support for Canada, which does not include the Bloc," Del Mastro's press release stated. "Stand up to the Separatists and support Canada’s democratically-elected government."

Wouldn’t Canada be better off if Quebec (minus the First Nations part) succeeded?

Any guesses as to what the first few laws of the new liberal government will be?

I hope not but she can.

And, one of the problems with her appointment is that some very unrepentant FLQ supporters were good friends with her and her husband.
Previous to being appointed GG, she worked for the CBC.

Some what similar to the William Ayres situation you have.

Yes!

Then it would be a much shorter drive from Ontario to the Maritimes.

;-)

They want to give $30 billion to the Auto and Forestry sectors right away.

Other than that, they haven’t said.

Hell, The Liberal leader, Dion resigned as Liberal leader after the election, but was staying on until a new leader could be chosen, and now he is going to be Prime Minister?

Grrr.

Hell, she and her husband aren't even real Canadians. I'm more qualified to be GG. My mother was at least born in Canada. And I speak French better than Dion speaks English.

She was born in Haiti, I don't know where he is from.

Yes, you are more qualified for the job. :)

You do know that Dion is a French Citizen, right? As in Citizen of France?

I'm going to be sick.

Well, having the birth certificate is not helping us much.
