I never knew Barry Goldwater’s wife was involved with Planned Parenthood, and that he himself wasn’t what we consider today to be “pro-life.” I was amazed when I saw him speaking about it.

Here in Maryland they allow 16 year old girls to become legally independent of parents if they marry and are pregnant. So the father's get out of prosecution for stat rape as long as the girl keeps fathers identity secret until 16. And there is NO requirement that father supports her or is capable of doing it. Child support is NOT related to marriage, just custody. So the girl can go on welfare.

Goldwater was a libertarian , state righter. He believed
each state should decide on their own and not have a national law or court orders deciding for the states.
