Help us, Lord to remember that “’tis better to give, than to receive”. What greater gift can we give than love, not only to our families, but to our neighbors and those we meet wherever we go.
Of course, we can’t just walk up and give everyone a hug or a kiss, However, we can brighten each others day just by looking them in the eye and smiling, or saying “Hello!”, or even “Merry Christmas!”.
It seems like ancient history when people new their neighbors and townsfolk. Now, some of us don’t even associate with our family.
All God asks of us is to open our hearts, and let His joy shine in. It ain’t brain surgery.
Try it. It works.
God bless all in need, especially our President and our warriors away from home in this Holy season. This is the time of year we celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus. It is not just another holiday.
