PAKISTAN was bracing last night for a retaliatory airstrike by India against the sprawling headquarters of the al-Qa'ida-linked Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist organisation near Lahore.
(snip)
India's military chiefs were exerting strong pressure on the country's political leaders to give permission to attack the headquarters, an 80ha site at Muridke, close to the Punjab capital of Lahore, just across the border from India.
The reports came as the Indian Government summoned the Pakistani high commissioner in New Delhi yesterday to demand "strong action" against the Pakistani militants who it says were responsible for last week's attacks on Mumbai.
(snip)
The heavily guarded LET complex near Lahore, known as the Markaz-e-Taiba (Holy Centre), includes mosques and madrassas with more than 3000 students. Theoretically it is the headquarters of the Jamaat-ul-Dawah Muslim welfare organisation that is closely identified with LET.
Reports yesterday said that if India attacked the complex -- possibly to kill Saeed -- an attempt would be made to justify the action by pointing to the way in which the US was launching pre-emptive strikes inside Pakistani territory using unmanned drones to kill al-Qa'ida and Taliban targets.
Indian sources have confirmed that investigators have established strong links between the group of terrorists who attacked Mumbai and the LET leadership inside Pakistan.

Interesting.
I expect a load of curry rice will be dropped that will show the paki’s..
No guts in the India congress or gov. they will let the
savages kill and kill again.
The Indians need to grow some balls, just like westerners need to grow some...
Hell, we’re doing it, why not them too?
I agree with a raid; but by now that will have been anticipated and anything important will have been moved.
India needs to strike at something that will really hurt Pakistan (even an economic target) to “motivate” that nation to stop sheltering terrorists.
If they DO decide to attack, it would be a good time for our guys to go in and redecorate the tribal lands from Afghanistan, since the Pak citizen outrage will be directed at India temporarily.
plot thickens . . .
The photographer who took the now-famous picture of the armed Islamic Terrorist strolling through the train station claims (with much credibility) that a multitude of armed police on the scene held their fire while that scumbag terrorist cut down innocent civilians.
If Indian police can’t even shoot a murdering terrorist in the act of committing murders, how is India going to “raid Pakistan”?
Flatten ISI headquarters. Then use bunker busters to get at the people deep within the building. In the meantime, blast the docks at Karachi and drop a couple of spans across the Indus.

Probably because even the nuttiest Pakis can’t figure out how to deliver a nuke on us where it hurts, but the Islamanutjobs in Pak would have no such difficulty finding Bombay ( refuse to be politically correct) or Delhi with a nice 30 kiloton firecracker. I don’t think that’s a consequence anyone wants to risk.
If you can't yes to all these, please kill yourself.
At the very least, bomb some targets in the LET strong hold in and around Lahore or hit some camps in Kashmir . . .
My targets were selected (not elected) to hit the ISI as a snake pit of Islamist subversion in the Pak government, to disrupt internal communications and to disrupt ocean-going trade. All of these targets are relatively low loss of life. The bridges and docks will take a while to repair and will stand as a warning.
Your idea also sounds good. I do not how much air power India can put up to strike Pakistan at once.
