I won’t register my weapons even if required by law. Now will I turn them in for failure to register them. That’s a start. The more congress treats me like a criminal the more I’ll resist.

I can just imagine the responses from libs if I quoted that:

“Oh, you’re being extreme.” “Don’t be absurd.”

>Are you really ready to go up against the government?<

If they keep pushing gun owners into the corner I wouldn’t be surprised to see Molon Labe snipers actually spring to life. That’s when being a politician will become a poor career choice.

I will never forget how effective those two from Washington state were at causing massive sweats amongst the general population.

The thing is that ‘respectible’ 2A advocates always seem to steer clear of those who publicly push back, especially if they get tagged as a nutcase.

So what happens is some guy gets fed up, makes his protest by open carry or something similar, gets busted and painted as a whacko, then the run of the mill 2A supporters back off, run and hide, disavow him, everything but support him.

The first to go will probably be fringe types, not the solid middle of the road guy.

So how do we expect people to take a stand if they aren’t supported and we just leave them hanging in the wind?

Are we prepared to support the fringe guys, too?

>The explosion also re-cocks the piston (Semi-automatic). We wont be “Tagging” the projectiles.

Awesome! See, I KNEW Diesel was an awesome, reliable, and adaptable technology... you could also use Bio-Diesel should Diesel become restricted! ;)

>In the Natl Guard they will lose a lot more, if they up and quit, disobeying a legitimate order. And it will be adjudged legitimate.

This may be so, and in fact is a probability that it will be adjudicated so; however, being told “it’s ok” isn’t the same as it actually being ok. Every service-member swears an oath to defend the Constitution of the US (and their state for NG) FIRST from all enemies foreign and domestic... {That means that should the president, congress, etc become corrupt, I’m bound foremost to the Constitution.} I take that oath seriously, as do many others, I think.

Understandable... but I was referring to the list of unenforced [illegal immigrant] laws you mentioned keeping track of.

A good question. Very good.

Do you have any idea how easy it is to derail the train carrying food onto the military base, or polluting the water system, or create communication hassles. Making life difficult and dangerous for oppressors would instantly become a way of life for many Americans.

Remember that there is more civilians than there is military and law enforement forces. Then there’s the politicians, local and state who can become targets. The oppressors also have families that can be harassed. How many wives would remain calm and supportive of their husbands duties at work if they has a .22 round come through their front window or windshield?

There is lots of ways to play the game of life. When government tries to take away our rights that’s when we consider making life difficult and dangerous for them to travel back and forth to the office.

Don’t you know how to mail a $100 bill in an envelope to a wacko? There’s lots of ways to show support without standing next to the one who is getting the attention.

Why is it always veterans who stand up first? We must have a hidden wish to die or something weird.

Bingo - except you’re not going far enough.

The NFA system is in place. Every transfer must be THOROUGHLY checked and documented. Punishment for non-compliance is extremely harsh. Crimes committed using registered items are almost unheard of. Off-the-books items are extremely rare.

All they have to do to resolve most of their complaints is put EVERYTHING under NFA.

The first to go will probably be fringe types

I've been saying that for years: "the nuts move first".

They won't have thought it through quite so rationally,
they won't have tried every conceivable available option,
they won't have the support & approval of most,
but they'll make the first move - and we'll have to live with it.

So if someone paints themselves up like Indians and dumps tea into Boston Harbor will they get shunned by the “Respectable” gun owners?

Veterans know that paying the price is survivable.
Those who haven’t paid the price don’t know that.

Indeed, that is the question. We won’t know the answer until someone does it.

Edward Abbey:

"The tank, the B-52, the fighter-bomber, the state controlled police and the military are the weapons of dictatorship. The rifle is the weapon of democracy .... If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military, the hired servants of our rulers. Only the government - and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws."
