Just thinking out loud, I’m curious to see how far the rino/moderates will go. If they want any sort of leadership in the party, given the state of the base, then it would be in their interest to follow the party line more.

I think most here will be watching and will use their record against these rinos in the future. Hopefully Arizona freepers have begun working towards defeating McCain in the Arizona primaries.

The last Republican to lose a Senate primary was the unusual conservative Bob Smith of NH, who endorsed John F. Kerry in 2004.

Before that it was Jacob K. Javits, wasn’t it, in 1980?

Republican voters are too timid to retire liberals in the primaries.

The sooner they will be "Palinized."
