Palin and Bush don't have the grey matter to be President.

*Gasp* Did I really just insult those two!?!! I guess I'm an elitist now for telling the truth.

To regain Republican control, we need smart figures. Jindal for one. I'm not drinking the Kool Aid.

Well said. Governor Palin has the look but so do many in the party ranks. She has the straight foward style but, again, so do many in the party.

She doesn’t have the intellect to guide this nation and I think, after 8 years of Bush, we’ve gotten it pretty well figured out that “gut” and “passion” are one thing, the lack of intellect necessary for the Presidency is an entirely different story.

We need someone like Reagan and, unfortunately, we’re all still waiting on that someone to show up.

remorse that the global financial crisis has cost jobs and harmed retirement accounts
it won't be long before we look back on these as the good old days.

What was this, a full Bush confessional, similar to Vic Mackey’s on “The Shield”?

“She was a dummy to tell people not to vote for Ted Stevens, she could of had his Senatorial seat.”

The problem was that Stevens shouldn’t have won the primary in the first place.

We need someone like Laura Ingraham.

The current financial crisis is FAR beyond the control of any President. Let's not forget that GW tried to head it off back in 2001 with Red Flags on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The Dims (like Barney Frank) said it was no big deal.

President Bush has been an excellent President. The only shortcoming was his lack of comfort at public speaking.

This current recession is certainly not his fault.

Stevens shouldn’t have won the primary, but he did. Palin guaranteed that the Democrat would win the Alaska seat.

She may have been prompted by McCain to do so.

Stevens actions guaranteed the Democrat would win.

if anything she should have said something against him before the primary. She would’ve been a national hero! I guess that wasn’t meant to be.

But to support him after the primary just to take his seat? That would be the kind of politics that Americans are sick of.

Much as I hate to admit this, I would easily pick Ingraham over Palin. I was a Huge supporter of hers and am still so deeply disenchanted with Romney and McCain I can’t put it to words.

My problem now is that Governor Palin has taken back to the low-key, small time personality that she was before the race.

She was in prime position and she pissed it away in a few short weeks.

I’ll be waiting and I’m afraid it will be a long, long time.......I hope Not!

I don’t know how he was going to stop people from buying houses with no credit. I believe that Arabs can have a democracy,(however I feel a monarchy mixed democracy is best for them). He did push business to the detriment of main street, that was his big mistake.

Laura Ingraham is incapalbe of being elected to anything, unless it is a Congressional District with 65% registered Republican voters.

She talks a good game, but there is no way people would vote for her on a state -wide basis.

There were several regulatory agencies whose job it was to prevent this sort of abuse. Bush has a “free market” mantra, that doesn’t work because we have to stand behind the Fannie and Freddie loans.

I wonder how much the whole Bush family is suffering?

How much is anyone suffering. I am just as broke now as if it was good times.

He should have listened to her and stepped aside. She would've chosen a successor. He was all for himself and always has been.

I can tell just by listening to Laura that she is smart. I didn’t get that with Sarah. Just because she was able to pull off an oil pipeline doesn’t mean she’s ‘presidential.’

gosh...of course she’s not stupid but not everyone has what it takes to be president.
