If the Mumbai terror assault seemed exceptional, and shocking in its targets, it was clear from the Thanksgiving Day reports that we weren't going to be deprived of the familiar, either. Namely, ruminations, hints, charges of American culpability that regularly accompany catastrophes of this kind.
Soon enough, there was Deepak Chopra, healer, New Age philosopher and digestion guru, advocate of aromatherapy and regular enemas, holding forth on CNN on the meaning of the attacks.
How the ebullient Dr. Chopra had come to be chosen as an authority on terror remains something of a mystery, though the answer may have something to do with his emergence in the recent presidential campaign as a thinker of advanced political views. Also commending him, perhaps, is his well known capacity to cut through all sorts of complexities to make matters simple. No one can fail to grasp the wisdom of a man who has informed us that "If you have happy thoughts, then you make happy molecules."
In his CNN interview, he was no less clear. What happened in Mumbai, he told the interviewer, was a product of the U.S. war on terrorism, that "our policies, our foreign policies" had alienated the Muslim population, that we had "gone after the wrong people" and inflamed moderates. And "that inflammation then gets organized and appears as this disaster in Bombay."

Chopra is correct that the increasing world population of Muslims compared to other religions is important. Europe is doomed unless the whites there start having enough children to reproduce themselves. Why don't they stop importing more Muslims?
India has lots of Hindus who have no illusions about the nature of Islam. Maybe the BJP will come to power in India.
Deepak is a Muslim now, that’s why.
Well,we can’t say he’s full of S—T!
I bet my angry molecules can kick his happy molecules’ little a$$es...
Ah, Muslims...
the only group of people on the planet more perpetually offended than gays or blacks.
Well, rocks have happy molecules. But enemas are a problem.
...*grin**smiles**giggle**catherine zeta jones**more coffee*.....????.....*tap tap tap*..it's not working!
Because most of Europe has two out-of-control trains that are on a crash course with each other: First, because of their anti-Christian, anti-establishment post-modern radicalism, they stopped having children (because they abhor the normalcy of family life and reject the teachings of the Bible). Second, they adopted Socialism to replace the church and reap the benefits of taking someone else’s earnings.
What they've found is what all Socialists find: Socialism is parasitic. It does not produce wealth, but take the earnings of others and spends it how it wishes. Eventually, the funds are all spent and there is no one making any money. This is what Europe is suffering.
But they have one additional problem. Because they don't have any children, they don't have a younger generation to do the work of their countries and no one to tax to pay for the social services of the retiring generations. Thus, they are forced to import workers and earnings to float their Socialist system. The Muslims, especially those from northern Africa, see this as a perfect opportunity to reestablish and extend the caliphate through Europe.
Sarkozy said that he was going to severely limit immigration. By my economic understanding, he can only do so if he drastically slashes the socialism in his country and encourages all those that who have stopped working but can to resume working.
I kind of doubt that the French people will suddenly make those changes. I believe most of Europe is already doomed.
..?????...well maybe some molecules
> Not all of us are rock stupid when it comes to politics, but too many of us are. Sorry.
IMO Deepak’s Indian-ness is incidental to his problem.
If Deepak were rock stupid I could excuse him: it’s unkind to say mean things against dumb animals. But he’s not: instead he’s an intelligent man that suffers from Hubris and Ignorance — a wickedly nasty mix which leaves him with no excuse.
He’s like the Rock Star who suddenly believes she’s an expert on foreign policy, or the actor who is suddenly an expert on third-world-debt. They think that because they succeed in one pursuit they are automatically qualified to expound on matters that are no concern of theirs.
With predictable results.
Deepak is entirely self-absorbed and self-impressed and on this subject he has exactly one fan.
I heard a spokeswoman for the 'synchronicity" group say that the terrorists shouldn't be blamed for the murders of the father and daughter from Virginia, or any of the other people because they (the terrorists) were just doing what they thought was right.
He converted?
that’s the rumor...(I got it from NOT the Internet)
Who are we to ridicule the wisdom of someone who believes happy thoughts create happy molecules?
I heard the same story.
I agree, and a good measure of this was permitted under post-WWII liberalism where the dominant attitude was forgive and forget. They did that too well. Only the Danes have had the stones to close their doors to Islam, and even that may be too late.
We're heading for the same train wreck, but we're doing it under the guise of political correctness and a nonexistent immigration policy that sees our borders like open gates. Europe is toast and we're already sitting in the toaster.
I'd give almost anything to see this idiot meet up in a dark alley with one of these terrorists. Bet he would change his happy little tune quick.

Note to Deepak,
Just because you make millions off gullible westerners you have no right to blame us for a war the muslims have declared against others for 1400 years. Read the history of these people before making pronouncements.
