We're all in pain. We're all stunned. But you are asking questions you know you cannot answer. Why? How will that help anyone? What we need now is strength and courage. What we need now is to regather our forces and to rebuild.
We knew beforehand that we are at war with an enemy. We knew that the world needs to be healed, that it oozes with a venomous darkness, and that darkness will not sit passively as we steal away its dominion. We knew that the more we fight this darkness, the harder it will fight back. We didn't fool ourselves. We decided we will fight and we will win. That is why Gavriel and Rivky went where they went. They went not as tourists, but as fearless soldiers.

So it's ok if the invade nations that aren't 'modern'? I think the Ethiopians might take issue with that line of thinking.
Fascist aggressions in the 30s were not notably different from similar British, French and even American aggressions in earlier decades other than in their timing.
If you could point up the American instance of us annexing by force something on par with Czechoslovakia or Polan I'd be interested in hearing about it.
Thanks.
Interesting - thanks!
“Chicago Rules”, and if that won’t work, enlighten them with “the light of a thousand suns”. Allahu fubar!
Moderate Muslims must be shielded from a harsh response to Islamofascism; All three of them..
You assume I’m an atheist because I don’t like religious fanatics who won’t shut up? My religion is between me and God. I don’t “flatuate” it out on anonymous forums just to be seen like you do. Your core beliefs must not be too stable if you have to keep throwing them in everyone’s faces. That reminds me of Bill Clinton carrying that big Bible for the cameras while on his way to see Monica.
A great recitation of the way things are in Judaism, and in common sense. G-d isn't going to miracle your arse to safety if you just sit on the couch praying, you have to do all that is humanly possible with the tools G-d gave you, and once you've done that then G-d may, if it suits Him and His purposes, grant you a miracle of some sort. It worked that way with the parting of the Sea of Reeds - Nachson had to wade in up to his neck before the Sea parted...DeMille didn't have it right.
Anyhow, your statement is the reason why I carry a .45 to synogogue. I just don't think that G-d is going to miracle a 230 grain hunk of hollow-pointed, copper-jacketed lead into the COM of some cretinous terrorist at 850 FPS or so...at least not on my first attempt at prayer in that situation.
That's why I carry, even into synogogue. I'm not counting on G-d miracling a .45 caliber hunk of hollow-pointed, copper-jacketed lead into the COM of a terrorist. If He does, well...He has a 100% probability of disabling the perp...and I'll be very, very (pleasantly) surprised.
G-d, through the Torah, demands self-defense. Who are we to argue otherwise?
I haven't, don't and won't. The Big Guy wants me to have guns, and to practice with them on a regular basis so that I keep up my skills...well, who am **I** to argue the point? Now, if I can just convince SWMBO that I'm doing G-d's work every time I go to the gun show or the range, there'll be lots less stress.
It’s your anger that gives you away...”for of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”
Moses was required to raise his staff over the waters before G-d would part the Red Sea, so it's only reasonable to expect that before G-d would "miracle a .45 caliber hunk of hollow-pointed, copper-jacketed lead into the COM of a terrorist," you'd be required to draw and raise your sidearm and pull the trigger.
