I will not argue that you're wrong, but this seems flawed, since Biden was not running as President, hence perhaps McCain would have beaten Biden, had it been him running and not Obama.

The electors can vote for anyone they want, there is no way that Democrat Obama electors will vote for McCain. They would probably vote for Biden or HRC. If they can't reach 270 it gets settled by the House of Representatives...again, Biden or HRC wins.
