this is why a progressive tax system isn’t just a disincentive to growth, it is simply not fiscally responsible to rely on a few people for most of your revenue. The ideal tax system should have the broadest tax base possible with the lowest rate.
When I visit friends in NYS I notice the everyone works for the government one way or another, or is disabled.
So there is an upside to recession.
Fear not NYS! With the new administration, Hillary will bring the 250,000 high paying jobs and industry as promised, and things will improve. LOL!!
Neighboring New Jersey, another state owned and operated by the education mafia, is likely to be hit nearly as hard as New York. I just hope the scumbags who flee those two states don’t come to Pennsylvania and bring their Democrat voting habits with them. We have enough of that garbage here already, thank you. The New York State worker, whether he or she is a teacher, fireman, police officer, sanitation worker, bureaucrat, etc.., will now have to make sacrifices in order to keep his or her job. The first thing to go should be their pensions, these should immediately convert to 403b’s. They will have to pay more into their healthcare. No retirement after 20 years of service, it is not actuarily sound to pay someone who is 45 years old a pension for 40 more years when they didn’t even pay in for their first 20 years of service. If they retire and move out of NY state, they must pay an additional tax on their pension, since they are no longer adding to the NY economy. These are all things that have to be done now in order to reduce the future pain we NY taxpayers will have to endure later.

Government workers and recipients are not considered greedy but compassionate. Dont you know the true compassion can only come from taxes? forced redistribution? Ask 1980s dem governor Coumo.
