HARRISBURG, Pa. -- MSNBC pundit Chris Matthews may be considering a run for U.S. Senate in 2010, a Pennsylvania Democratic party leader says.
The Patriot-News of Harrisburg reported that Matthews met with state party leaders this past week in Washington to discuss a possible bid to unseat Republican Sen. Arlen Specter.

Yes you’re right. The mantra of “just replace RINOs with conservatives” is not enough. These must be conservatives who can speak, persuade and have cross-over appeal. Not easy.
Very, very true there John: sad, but true. The libs are counting on it and are doing their best to pack both cities and suburbs with like minded people (thus their obsession with public transportation & housing)) versus ex-urban/rural populations. We should be worried: very, very worried, because the numbers are only increasing against us.
OMG! Another self important media whore who thinks they know anything other than how to play to a camera running for office. Just what we need.
Why not? Pa keeps re-electing flaming libs, even military-hating Murtha, Specter has been there forever. Matthews will spread the infestation a little deeper.
