I believe that Wal Mart is at fault for having these type of “sales” in the first place. it sounds like they should have known a few things here... And were willfully negligent.
I hope that man’s family sues them for $500 Million.
Black Friday sales are not an invention of WalMart. They opened a little later than some stores, earlier than some others.
I fail to understand your reasoning that WalMart is at fault for "having that type of sale". If this had happened at Kohl's (who opened at 4am this year) would you feel the same way about negligence?
After this stampede of animals turns to death, they opened this store hours later. Business as usual. :(
Now wait a minute, it’s not just Walmart.
Yesterday, the following stores (these are just the ones in my area that I know of) had Black Friday sales, with doors opening at 5:00 am:
Best Buy, Circuit City, LL Gregg, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Bass Pro Shops, Sears, J.C. Penney, Kohls, Dillards, Kmart, Toys R Us, Office Depot, Target, etc, etc.
Add to the list if you know of any others. I’m sure there are more.
In any case, it isn’t the store it’s the “shoppers”.
In other news, 1400 Walmarts across the country opened up at 5:00 am yesterday to crowds looking for Black Friday bargains.
One of them had a riot that killed a guy.
Oh, his family will get a nice Work Comp settlement.
blame Wal Mart because a group of adults don’t know how to behave and wait in line?
There was a quote in the NY Post from one of the employee’s stating “last year they only broke the door”
I agree, Walmart shares the blame.
