Most vaccines and many life-saving medicines were perfected through animal research.
They’re animals, they have no rights. BNow I love my dog, he’s a person with four paws and a tail ADFAIC, but this crap is ridiculous, as are you nutcases., (and people like who who put the life of a lab rat or monkey over saving thousands of humans’ lives are all nutbars, its just a matter of degree as to how far into the lunacy you descend.)
Flamed? Well I like it at FR and don’t wish to be banned, therefore I’ll refrain from telling you what I really think of your post and your odious abd putrid viewpoint.
That’s a good question. As a medical doctor who has taken the Hippocratic oath I don’t understand why his medical license hasn’t been jerked.
He has stated on several occasions violence against humans is justified to stop the abuse of animals. That doesn’t seem to me like something a physician would condone.
You did not read my post carefully—if at all-.
Calling me a “nutcase “ is not only insulting in a dialogue of a very important issue, but is not appropriate for Freeper. Perhaps if you did some research on animal research that would help. I only respond now because 1) this issue is very important 2) you are a dog person
1. I never said that —in the past—some medical advances have been attriubted to animal research. However, the limitations of animal research in the last 10 to 20 years has been documented by many leading medical researchers who are hardly ‘nutjobs”.
2. Much animal research has nothing to do with saving lives.
3. Regardless of needs for limited animal research, ethical treatment of animals is NOT contradictory to good animal research.
4. The key to effective animal research is to focus on What specific animal research will HELP humans and what animal
research” hinders more effective medical/biological research.
BTW...what is ADFAIC>
While I can empathize with the feelings or frustrations of animal activists, their methods of violence are dangerous and not ethical.
Moreover, they would be better served to educate people and support ethical activists who have both human and animal interests at heart.
ADFAIC = As d*mn far as I’m concerned....
;-)
I’m almost tempted to say that he and Herr Doktor Josef Mengele, MD are kindred spirits.
Mengele didn’t like to experiment on animals, either. humans were a much better subject for him, from what I gather.
