Aligning Hillary Clinton & Sarah Palin Is Insulting (barf alert)
The Caldwell Progress (NJ) ^ | Published: Nov 28th, 7:15 AM | Dana Hunter

To align Sarah Palin with Hillary Clinton on any level other than gender is both disingenuous and insulting.

She has been the governor of a state whose economic structure (among other things) is unlike that of any other state in the country; 80 percent of their revenue is based in oil and gas!

It’s too convenient and easy to pin her inadequacies on “the press’ demeaning” portrayal of her. To be fair, Sen. [John] McCain was the one who put her into this position, as Pete kindly pointed out to me; the guy who was willing to lose an election before winning the Iraq war, was apparently more concerned about winning an election than running with a competent vice president.

Doesn’t really jive with the whole “Country First” theme. It wasn’t too difficult to read into the selection of Gov. Palin.

While I admire her tenacity and perseverance, at some point a person must take personal responsibility when overreaching.

This is not to detract from her accomplishments, but rather to draw attention to the fact that so many Americans were willing to buy into the image of Sarah Palin as opposed to the substance.

The idea of electing candidates to the highest office in the country because they’re “like” you is absurd. I want the leader of my country to be smarter than me. This doesn’t mean I’m stupid…oh contraire, it makes me smart!!

Sarah Palin is not a stupid woman, but what she lacks is exactly what President-Elect Obama possesses. Those who excel in any intellectual arena exhibit the ability to formulate higher thought based on the processing of information, not merely repeating it.

When a person merely repeats what they’ve been told, we wind up with a President [George] Bush.

Didn't we all just witness Obama spending hundreds of millions of dollars to persuade millions of voters to buy into an image? I have yet to see any indication that he has any substance, and I'm very skeptical that I ever will.

The idea of electing candidates to the highest office in the country because they’re “like” you is absurd. I want the leader of my country to be smarter than me.

Politicians are always trying to convince voters that they're "just like us." If all this woman needs in a leader is someone "smarter," then 80 percent of the population are potential candidates.

This doesn’t mean I’m stupid…oh contraire, it makes me smart!!

Au contraire, your ignorance and absence of any logical thinking skills are obvious.

Yes, true. Sarah is an experienced administrator and an admirable person. Hillary would be a nobody if she hadn’t managed to marry a former president. She is a corrupt liar who was complicit in numerous clinton felonies over the years.

No comparison. That’s right.

As several others have already said it is insulting only to Governor Palin.

I see absolutely nothing empowering about Hillary. Not only did she ride her husbands coattails to a Senate seat, but the way she has hitched herself to Obama leads me to believe she is nothing more than a doormat/lapdog to any man that can or will give her power.

Yes, I’m sure The One-Elect was using both the Socratic Method and the Hegelian Dialectic when he told us to inflate our tires.

Exactly. It kills me when these idiots try and pass off a guy who simply repeated 3 or 4 catch phrases for 2 years as some philosopher king.

I don't know which is funnier, that this woman thinks she's smart, that this newspaper hired her, or that the editor let "oh contraire" make it to print.

On what does she base this statement?

Just more Obama fellating by the dinosaur media... bah, humbug! See my tagline
